Characteristics: The agate stone burnisher is used for burnishing and polishing gouache gilding.When the gilt surface is dry and stabilised, polishing it with this stone and exerting the correct amount of pressure on the leaf obtains a polished final effect.The different forms available are designed to be used on different geometric surfaces. Additional information: For better use of the tool, you are advised to heat the stone slightly by rubbing rapidly on a wool cloth prior to use. The stones are highly sensitive to scratching and damage and should be stored carefully.
