The imitation booklets measuring 14 x 14 cm with 25 leaves are available in loose or transfer format. As well as a shade of gold, aluminium and copper, 14 x 14 cm leaves are also available in variegated patterns with a gold or copper base colour.

Technical Data

The leaf is relatively thick compared to real gold leaf and very easy to work with. It must be varnished afterwards to prevent tarnishing and to protect against oxidation.

Loose imitation gold leaf can be used to gild both flat and carved surfaces.

Transfer leaves, in contrast to loose leaves, come ready applied on tissue paper in order to facilitate handling and use for decoration using oil gilding techniques and on ceilings and flat surfaces.
