Available with two cutting profiles, the burnishing knife enables users to section leaves, applying slight pressure and a cutting movement on them. It is also useful as a tool with which to transfer leaves from books to gilder’s cushions.

15cms long, the knife is a way of cutting leaves into various sizes with a single movement. It can be used for cutting both precious metal leaves and imitations.

Additional information

It is advisable to keep the knife dry at all times to avoid deterioration. If necessary, prior to fresh use clean the blade with 99.9% pure ethanol.
