Technical Data

The most common use of the resin is as a varnish. Damar resin dissolves well in turpentine, but poorly in white spirit. It is mainly used as an oil paint emulsion medium. Dammar is also used as a gloss coating on food, in the manufacture of incense or varnishes, or in other processes.
