Base + hardener of a two-component epoxy system, flexible, colourless, transparent. For casting transparent casings for decorative items, electrical and electronic components, prototypes and pre-series for demonstration purposes.

Good resistance to UV. However, prolonged exposure to UV causes yellowing of the material.

Description:

Two components epoxy system, flexible, colourless, transparent.

The system is based on a low viscosity, unfilled resin and an amine hardener. Long pot-life. Low exothermic peak, allow the casting of quite large objects. It is necessary to check, based on applications, if the system is suitable for the preparation of casted transparent objects where different materials are coupled together.

Good resistance towards UV. The exposure to UV for long time causes neverthless a yellowing of the material.

Max recommended operating temperature for electrical and electronic applications 110°C. Max recommended operating temperature for structural applications (Prototyping, Articles), is necessary to check, based on applications.

The system is RoHS compliant (European directive 2002/95/EC) and the new RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) entered into force on 21 July 2011 and requires Member States to transpose the provisions into their respective national laws by 2 January 2013.
