General purpose resin; it is suitable for glass fiber impregnation in the production of reinforced plastics with good mechanical properties.

Technical Data

Characteristics:

Orthopthalic unsaturated polyester resin with good reactivity, diluted into monomer styrene. The resin is preaccelerated and thixotropic; it has good wetting properties and chemical resistance.

Processing method:

Poliplast R 65.15 X can be used with hand or automatic impregnation technologies.Gel time and curing performance depend on resin’s and workshop temperature. It is advised to apply the resin at a temperature comprised between 15°C and 40°C.

Curing conditions:

Curing catalyst should be 1,5% - 2,5% of Methylethylketone peroxide (MEKP - Catalyst n° 1).

Processing time: 9-12 min
Curing time: 16-24 min
Density: A+B: 1,2 g/ml
Viscosity: A: 160-220 mPas | B: 24 mPas
