Technical Data

This filler belongs to the aluminium silicate family and consists mainly of spherical (‘honeycomb structure’) as well as rod-shaped and flaky particles. The bond strength and packing density are therefore higher than in conventional hollow microspheres. The different silcel types are distinguished by grain size, grain distribution, bulk weight and effective density. Both untreated and surface-treated types are available – the latter is extremely hydrophobic.
