Iron III chloride is an excellent etching agent for zinc, copper and brass, as it etches your plate gently and evenly. It is often used as a substitute for copper sulphate. This 40% solution is ready to use.

    During etching, it is recommended to move the tray back and forth regularly. Wear gloves to prevent your hands from turning brown and be careful with your clothing, as iron chloride can cause rust stains.
